The Mal-Shih is a cross between a Maltese and a Shih Tzu, originally bred in the early 1900s. These dogs are generally small, outgoing, hypoallergenic pooches.

Mal-Shih are known for having a long, soft and silky coat that requires regular grooming and brushing. This breed should be brushed daily and taken to the groomer every 6-9 weeks.
Mal-Shih tend to adapt their energy level to the home they live in. A moderate amount of regular exercise is still a good idea for your pup!
