Mini Walrus

The Mini Walrus is a sweet cross of two beloved breeds: The Shar Pei and the Beagle. This mix has also been referred to as a “Sharp Eagle.”

Historically, Shar Peis were farm guardians and Beagles were hunters. This cross makes for an independent pet that is adaptable, but sometimes a challenge to train.

Grooming

The Mini Walrus is relatively easy to care for, whether its coat takes after the Beagle or the Shar Pei. Their wrinkles do make them more prone to skin issues, so it’s important to check often to ensure there is no soap, dirt, or water trapped there.

In addition to their skin, their teeth, ears, and toenails will require regular grooming. Brush their teeth every few days, keep their ears clean and dry, and make sure their nails are trimmed monthly.
