Yorkies are considered hypoallergenic, and sheds very little to not at all.
The Yorkshire Terrier's coat is very similar to human hair and requires frequent brushing, especially if kept long. The hair on top of their head should either be cut short or pulled into a topknot to avoid eye irritation. Ears should be checked weekly for debris or signs of infection.
Like all breeds, Yorkies benefit from moderate exercise and bursts of activities. They enjoy moderately paced walks and short periods of energetic games like fetch.
