Poodles originate from France where they were bred to be duck hunters. Toy Poodles are the smallest of the three Poodle variations and were first bred in the United States.
Their intelligence and their noble looks gained them a spot among European royalty as well as circuses. They are highly energetic and trainable, and make great family pets.

The Toy Poodle does not shed, making them a hypoallergenic breed, suitable for people with allergies.
Grooming
Poodle coats, when kept long need to be brushed daily to keep the coat from matting. For this reason, most pet owners opt to keep the coats very short, and get them groomed every few weeks.
Energy Level
Poodles of all sizes are very active and require a good amount of mental and physical exercise every day. They are extremely intelligent, agile and do well with obedience and tracking.
